Despite going down in the first round of his title bout against Vitaly Klitschko, Odlanier Solis still believes the Ukrainian is a “boxing zero” and seeks a rematch.
Two weeks ago the Klitschko vs. Solis bout ended with a lackluster first round TKO in Cologne. WBA heavyweight champion Klitschko hit Solis with his right hand and the Cuban fighter went down, injured his right knee and could not continue.
The fight was stopped and Klitschko was declared the winner – a decision which Solis apparently regards the most unfair in the world.
“I’ve seen how easy it is to defeat Vitaly,” Solis said, according to boxingscene.com. “If the injury had not got in the way, I would have taken him apart. He is a boxing zero, I was surprised at how weak he is. I hope that Vitaly is man enough to give me a re-match. Let’s fight again in Cologne. Those who paid a lot of money to see the first fight can get in for free. I don’t need to earn any money from this fight, I just want your belt!”
There have not been any comments from Vitaly yet, and it is doubtful that the Ukrainian champion will give any. He is used to proving everything in the ring.
