The famous Russian traveler Fyodor Konyukhov plans to cross Ethiopia on camel-back in a 40-day expedition beginning today.
The more than 1,000 km expedition, billed as the Arc of the Covenant, is to finish at Axum, which is home to the Arc of the Covenant which, according to Christian legend, holds the commandments Moses received from God on Mt. Sinai.
