A court has rejected a lawsuit filed by a woman badly injured in a car crash involving the car of Garry Minkh, the Kremlin’s representative in the State Duma.
The Odintsovo town court threw out the complaint filed by Alyona Yarosh, 23, because investigators consider her responsible for the Jan. 19 accident, which left her with numerous broken bones and a concussion, her lawyer Olga Gonina told Interfax on Friday.
Gonina said she would appeal the ruling to the Moscow region court.
The Odintsovo court was the second to reject the case after Moscow’s Tverskoi District Court sent it to Odintsovo in mid-April, Interfax said.
Yarosh was hospitalized after her Opel Astra collided with Minkh’s BMW sedan on Rublyovskoye Shosse outside Moscow, home to many of the city’s political and business elite.
Yarosh’s father, Alexander, who arrived at the scene after the crash, said a traffic police report that he signed specified that the BMW had veered into the oncoming lane.
