Police in Russia’s western exclave of Kaliningrad are searching for a man who tried to stuff a 15-year-old girl into a duffel bag, a police source said on Saturday.
The abduction attempt occurred on Thursday in the city of Kaliningrad.
The perpetrator “handcuffed the girl, taped her mouth shut, put her in a bag and tried to kidnap her, but ran away when other people happened on the scene,” the source said.
Police say the chief suspect is a 31-year-old man who is a local resident. They have opened a criminal case into the incident under attempted abduction charges.
