Medvedev Has 1.5 Mln Twitter Followers

The number of Twitter followers of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has reached 1.5 million people, Medvedev wrote on his Twitter account on Sunday.

“1,500,000 readers! Thank you for attention. I wish success to all of you,” Medvedev wrote.

Medvedev, who styles himself as a technologically savvy person, opened his Twitter account in June 2010 during a visit to the Silicon Valley. He has made 631 entries in his Twitter account over two and a half years.

In his Twitter blog, Medvedev shares his views of events in Russia and abroad, posts photographs that he takes, and responds to questions asked by other Twitter users.

Medvedev also has personal pages on social networking sites Facebook, Instagram and VKontakte.
