Medvedev Notes Need to Modernize Russian Economy

Moscow, Feb 26 (Prensa Latina) Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev insisted on reorienting the economy to reduce its dependence on raw materials and to increase its competitive capacity in the world, local media reported on Tuesday. The head of government admitted the economy’s dependence on sales of hydrocarbons and raw materials, which account for nearly 50 percent of revenues in the budget structure.
