Miss Russia Elmira Abdrazakova has criticised the jailing of members of feminist rock band Pussy Riot.
The 19-year-old beauty queen said ‘a place of worship for something sacred, but still, their punishment is too harsh.’
Maria Alyokhina, 24, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, 23, and Yekaterina Samutsevich, 30, were sent to prison for two years.
They were jailed for performing an anti-Kremlin “prayer” at a Moscow cathedral in February last year.
The group members were found guilty of ‘hooliganism’ motivated by ‘religious hatred’ in August this year. (ANI)
