More quakes shake Japan

Another
strong earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter Scale hit the Japanese island of
Honshu, including the area of the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant.

Shortly
afterward 2 more powerful tremors of magnitude 5.8 and 5.9 were registered.

A
tsunami warning was issued but was later canceled.

However, the national
Meteorological Administration recommends that residents of the coastal zones be
particularly vigilant.

There
are no reports that the new quakes will create more problems for the Fukushima –
1 nuclear power plant where work to repair the plant is ongoing.
