Two Russian Emergencies Ministry planes have arrived in Tokyo with 40 tons of aid for the Japanese who have been affected by the March 11th earthquake and subsequent tidal wave.
On a return flight, the aircraft will take back home another group of Russians wishing to leave Japan.
100 Russian nationals have thus signalled their wish to return.
Russia is one of the first nations to have put out a helping hand to the disaster-stricken neighbour, with several consignments of aid already delivered to Japan, and a team of Russian rescuers working in the disaster area there.
