Moscow’s highest observation deck re-opens

The external observation deck of Moscow’s Ostankino TV Tower has just been opened to the general public who can now once again enjoy a view of Moscow from the city’s tallest structure.

The observation deck is located 337 meters above the ground. However, the deck will only be open when the weather is good, as strong winds or rain can make visiting it a dangerous experience.

Entrance costs 850 rubles and visitors will have to register online in advance, as the deck’s maximum capacity is limited. People wanting to visit Ostankino Tower will have to provide a passport or other ID.

Up until now, only high-profile guests, such as government members, were allowed up there.
