In Myanmar, the party of the ruling military regime has said it has won the parliamentary elections, the first in the past 20 years. By preliminary reports, the military has polled up to 80% of the votes. A number of opposition parties have admitted their defeat, but others said they would lodge complaints with the Central Elections Commission.
