Night Club Art Director Fined over Hitler Ads

MOSCOW, May 22 (RIA Novosti) – A magistrates court in Siberia fined an art director at a night club for using Hitler images to advertise a WWII Victory Day party, lenta.ru said on Tuesday.

The court in Leninsk-Kuznetsky near Kemerovo fined the man, whose name has not been released, 2,500 rubles ($80) on Monday for placing five billboards with images of Hitler and Nazi symbols on the streets of the town, the police in the Kemerovo region said.

The man was detained after local residents reported the billboards to the police showing “the man with a moustache.” Police confiscated the billboards and found the man who admitted it was his idea.

The party that the billboards advertised took place on May 9-10. Waiters in the night club wore Soviet (Red) Army uniforms, police said.
