Police have killed a suspected militant in Russia’s North Caucasus republic of Chechnya, a police official said on Saturday.
The suspect was named as Rukman Ediyev, who was on the federal wanted list for organizing an illegal armed group.
The official did not say when the operation, which took place in Chechnya’s Shalinsky district, was carried out.
The Kremlin ended its decade-long counter-terrorism operation in Chechnya over two years ago.
