Prime Minister Putin speaks about Libya

Russian Prime
Minister Vladimir Putin said that he and President Dimitry Medvedev are very
close in their assessments of the situation in Libya.

When asked by reporters
in Slovenia, whether his approach differs from President
Medvedev’s, he said: “We are close friends and understand each
other,” stressing that the country’s foreign policy is articulated by the
president.

“As a matter of
fact as far as the Libyan problem is concerned, we should all think about the
innocent victims, whose number have increased greatly, as a result of the civil
war, and as a result of missile strikes on the territory.

“Those who are responsible for this tragedy should also be thinking, first and foremost, about the innocent victims and pray for the salvation of their own souls.” said the Prime Minister.
