ST. PETERSBURG, July 15 (Itar-Tass) —— The Finnish police have arrested a Russian married couple and their underage child on suspicion of selling one kilogram of amphetamine, the Northwestern Federal District police department told Itar-Tass on Friday.

The department said that the Russians were members of an international organized criminal group selling large amounts of synthetic drugs, and the husband was the group organizer. Most of the group members had been sentenced from four to nine years in prison. More than ten kilograms of drugs were seized.

“None of the convicts testified against the couple in court, but they were seen selling drugs in Finland in 2010. Our police started working upon the couple’s return to the home country. The suspicions were proven, and the couple was seized when it went to Finland again,” the department said.
