Russian police detain more than 150 protesters

Petersburg, where a police helicopter hovered low over demonstrators shouting anti-Kremlin slogans on the main street.
Prominent opposition leader Boris Nemtsov, a fierce critic of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, said from the back of a police bus that he was among those detained in St.
Petersburg. Rights activists and Kremlin opponents have been staging demonstrations on the last day of each month with 31 days, in a symbolic reference to the right to free assembly enshrined under Article 31 of Russia’s constitution.
