Russian Police Find World War II Arsenal in Apartment

KALININGRAD, April 5 (RIA Novosti) – Russian police in the Baltic exclave of Kaliningrad have discovered an arsenal of World War II firearms in an apartment belonging to a local resident, the regional Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Friday.

“They found an MG 34 machinegun, MP 38 and MP 40 sub-machineguns, a PPSh sub-machinegun and also five bolts, three pistol grips with trigger mechanisms, and six gun barrels from an unidentified model. In addition, there were also 220 rounds of ammunition in the apartment,” the FSB said.

The weaponry is being examined by experts from the local police, who are considering whether to open a criminal investigation.
