A mobile presidential reception office service should be up and running in May, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev said on Wednesday.
Under this project, presidential staff officers will be posted to all parts of Russia to handle citizens’ suggestions and “complaints about the inaction of authorities,” he said.
He also said a bill penalizing state and government officials for poor performances should be ready by the end of the year.
A draft law pending in the government sets standards for the quality of services provided by state authorities and “institutes tough measures of responsibility for officials who neglect their duties,” he said.
Medvedev said he hoped the bill would be submitted to the Russian parliament no later than the second half of the current year.
