San Francisco conference turns mobile phone into mini-robot

IT specialists from 60 countries displayed a treadmill outfitted with a video display, a self-playing grand piano and many other contraptions during an international conference in San Francisco, California.
The Android platform-driven robot that assists people with disabilities stood out at the event. The device is equipped with IR-cameras, some of which are panoramic and allow the robot to find the smallest objects located anywhere between the floor and a table’s surface. The developers say it can follow and pick up any object from the floor.
Over 5,000 application developers participated in the conference.
