Police in the west Siberian city of Novokuznetsk believe a 28-year-old women killed her young niece and nephew as well as her grandmother before hanging herself on Friday.
The bodies – as well as a note from the woman asking for forgiveness – were discovered early on Friday when the suspected murderer’s sister arrived home. The note also warned her to call police before entering the apartment, in the Zavodsky region of the city.
No motive was given for the killings.
Preliminary investigations indicate that the woman strangled her niece and nephew – both aged between 4 and 6 – and her 79-year-old grandmother. She also hung the family dog.
Police are still working at the scene.
