Six missing passengers of Russian sunken riverboat reported alive

Six out of 15 missing passengers of the sunken riverboat, the Bulgaria, have been reported to be alive, a police spokesperson said on Tuesday.

Irina Nizhelskaya said that the relatives of six passengers that were previously reported missing called in at the republic’s police headquarters to inform the authorities that “they have been found.”

The bodies of 114 victims have been recovered, while 79 people were rescued after the boat sank on Sunday in the Volga River about 80 kilometers south of Kazan, the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan. There were 208 people on board the vessel, which was designed for 120 passengers.
