An unusual catwalk show by “chemist-tailor” Manel Torres has won the heart of Moscow fashion fans.
The London-based Spanish designer showcased dresses made of a sprayable, non-woven fabric.
The collection of nature-inspired outfits was created just a couple of hours before the show, with the designer spraying it on to the models, fusing science, fashion and design.
“I always wanted to give people a new way of dressing,” Torres told RT. “I thought it would be fantastic if we could speed up making clothes and just use a spray-on fabric. I realized that such a technology didn’t exist, so I started making it. It’s a long process. It took me 10 years to develop it.”
