The UN Security Council is scheduled to discuss on Thursday Resolution 1973 on Libya, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said during a press-briefing in Algeria.
Mr. Lavrov added that the delegates will focus on the way this resolution has been implemented and whether it is truly aimed at protecting the civilians in Libya.
He stressed that a no-fly zone over Libya is first of all seeking means to ensure the security of the peaceful population.
