Train Car with Fuel for Ukraine Army Blown Up in Kharkov

Explosion caused material damage only. Authorities are ruling out an accident, have it down as an ‘act of subversion’

KIEV, March 30 (TASS) – A railway tank car with fuels and lubricants has exploded at the Osnova train station in Kharkiv, the press service of the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office said on Monday.

“On March at around 00:30 an explosion of a railway tank car with fuels and lubricants occurred,” the prosecutor’s office said, noting that “the diesel fuel was intended for the Ukrainian armed forces.”

“The explosion at the “Osnova” train station has been “defined as an act of subversion,” the prosecutor’s office added.

Earlier, a series of explosions occurred in Odessa. An explosion that took place in a residential house last Monday has been defined as a terrorist attack. A powerful blast occurred in a volunteer center on Saturday. According to the Interior Ministry, the explosive device was placed on a window sill. However, no one was hurt.
