The Moscow City Court has upheld a lower court’s decision to convict rock critic Artemy Troitsky of slandering an former policeman but said the fine of 130,000 rubles ($4,600) must be reconsidered, Interfax reported.

In November, Troitsky called Nikolai Khovansky the “worst cop of the year” for helping clear LUKoil vice president Anatoly Barkov in a car crash that killed two.

Troitsky said Thursday that he would seek for the charges to be dropped altogether. Four similar slander suits against him, including one more by Khovansky, are pending in city courts.
