Two suspected U.S. spies arrested in Syria

Two citizens of the United States have been arrested during an anti-government demonstration in Syria.

The 21-year-old Vermont student and the 32-year resident of Texas say they were only watching but authorities insist that they were directly involved in the protests.

Local media note that this is common CIA practice to send secret agents in the guise students to collect information in “hot points”.

Dozens of people were killed in clashes between the protesters and police, which rocked Syria this week, prompting the government to announce democratic reforms.
