KIEV, July 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukraine will make the European Union stronger, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Konstantin Grishchenko told the New Europe edition, the Ukrainian government press office reports.
He said the European Union must not think that the need to concentrate attention and resources on Greece, Portugal and Spain made impossible a more active involvement of Kiev in European affairs.
On the contrary, Ukrainian resources and capabilities may assist the solution of EU problems, he said.
Ukraine is taking unprecedented reforms at the initiative and under personal control of President Viktor Yanukovich, he said. “We are optimists and maximalists, and we seek maximal results through personal effort, support of governmental agencies and the civil society. This is our formula of success,” the minister concluded.
