The transnational firm TUV SUD RUS conducted an audit of the quality-management system in use at the A.K. Serov Metallurgical Plant, OJSC (part of Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company’s ferrous-metals division)
The experts confirmed that the system is compliant with the international ISO/TU 16949:2009 standard, which sets the requirements for suppliers of materials and components to the automotive industry.
UMMC’s press office told RusBusinessNews that the certification of compliance that was granted after the inspection of the Serov plant will be valid for three years. The firm works with the automakers KAMAZ, AvtoVAZ, and the factories of the GAZ Group.
