The Dubai Court of Appeals has slashed the sentences of the men accused of assassinating Sulim Yamadayev from life to three years. Earlier this year, Iranian Mahdi Lorniya and Maksudjon Ismatov of Tajikistan were convicted and sentenced to life in prison for aiding and abetting the murder of Yamadayev, who was killed in the United Arab Emirates in March 2008.
