Mel Gibson and his Russian ex are once again making international headlines. This time Oksana Grigorieva claims that Gibson “traumatized” her 14-year-old son, and is demanding $500,000 in compensation from the Hollywood star.
It is not the first time the 41-year-old pianist and singer Oksana Grigorieva has brought personal matters between her and the “Braveheart” to court. An incident allegedly took place in January 2009, during a domestic fight in which Grigorieva claimed the Oscar-winning actor knocked two of her teeth out. Mel Gibson denied that claim, saying he just slapped his then girlfriend as she was out of control and endangering their baby, Lucia.
After a months-long court battle, Gibson was sentenced to 16 hours of community service and one year of counseling after pleading no contest in March this year to Grigorieva’s allegations against him. In May, Grigorieva dropped her domestic assault charges against her ex and the case was closed.
Strangely enough, Grigorieva has only now remembered Gibson beating her teenage son, Alexander. According to TMZ, she also claims Gibson called her son names and frightened him so much that the boy, the son of former-James Bond actor Timothy Dalton, hid under the bed.
Grigorieva is currently trying to obtain a custody settlement over Gibson’s and her nearly two-year-old, Lucia, born in 2009.
The romance began in 2008, and resulted in Gibson divorcing his wife Robyn after nearly 30 years of marriage in April 2009. For a while Mel had been denying reports about him being in a relationship with a Russian beauty. However shortly after filing for divorce he went public about his relationship with Oksana Grigorieva.
