7.4 quake hits Japan

An earthquake measuring 7.4 on the Richter scale has occurred in the south part of the Japanese archipelago, according to the U.S. Geological Survey’s site. Earthquake(s) were recorded at 20:19 Moscow time. According to seismologists, the epicenter was near the islands of Ogasawara (Bonin). The Japanese authorities issued a warning about the threat of a tsunami.
