About 30 protesters detained in Day of Wrath in Moscow

MOSCOW, August 12 (Itar-Tass) —— About 30 people, among them an organizer of the Day of Wrath action, were detained in downtown Moscow on Friday night, the city police department told Itar-Tass.

“The police prevented an unauthorized action, the so-called Day of Wrath, in the Moscow center. An organizer, Left Front activist Konstantin Kosyakin, and another 30 people chanting slogans on Teatralnaya Square were detained,” the department said.

All the detainees were taken to the Tverkoye police station for administrative charges.

The protesters demanded to set free Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov detained on Moscow’s Triumfalnaya Square on July 31 during another unauthorized action and sentenced to 15 days of administrative arrest for disobedience to the police.
