About 7,500 websites with extremist content are active in the Russian segment of the Internet, Russian Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev said on Wednesday.
The minister said a complex of measures is needed to limit the activities of such websites.
“We have already amended the federal law on the media, now in certain circumstances websites will be treated as mass media,” he said.
