Today we are going to look at Afghanistan – an issue high on the US agenda. The deterioration of security situation, a rise in civilian deaths and recent remarks by Afghan President Hamid Karzai might point to growing tensions between the Afghan and the US governments.
Is that really so? How has cooperation between the US and Afghan governments been developing in the recent months? What is the position of Mr. Karzai and what are the prospects for the NATO-led forces withdrawal?
