Dmitry Medvedev submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Agreement between Russia and Columbia on Mutual Legal Assistance on Criminal Cases.

The agreement’s purpose is to regulate Russian-Columbian relations concerning mutual legal assistance on criminal cases, strengthening the legal framework for bilateral cooperation on criminal law issues, and protecting the rights and lawful interests of both countries’ citizens.

The agreement was signed in Moscow on April 6, 2010.
