Three days of freedom have come to an end for the albino ostrich that escaped from a travelling circus in the Russian Far East.
The runaway travelled back with its tamer in a “marshrutka” mini-bus to the circus it fled. Another fellow escapee ostrich was returned the previous day.
“The albino ostrich was spotted by a man who was walking a dog when it [the bird] was peacefully pasturing in a local grove,” Vasily Kolos, circus Anastasiya’s director, told Interfax.
The man is to be awarded 20,000 roubles for finding the “silly and aggressive” bird, as was promised earlier, Kolos said.
