The Brazilian international, Maicon, may become the next big signing of Russian Premier League fat cats, Anzhi Makhachkala.
According to Football Press, the side from Dagestan are ready to pay Inter Milan €20 million for the defender’s transfer.
If the deal is struck, the 30-year-old’s move to Makhachkala is expected to take placeduring the winter break.
It’s reported that Anzhi’s biggest star, Samuel Eto’o, has himself invited his former Inter partner to join him in the Russian league.
Top European sides Real Madrid and Chelsea have also expressed interest in Maicon’s services.
Maicon Douglas Sisenando, who plays in the position of right-wingback, is considered one of the best defensive players on the planet.
Since joining Inter from Monaco in 2006, he has won four Serie A titles and the UEFA Champions League in the 2009/10 season.
The player also has 66 caps and six goals for the Brazilian national team.
Anzhi have been making waves on the transfer market since the club was purchased by billionaire Suleyman Kerimov, who has already signed Eto’o, Roberto Carlos and Yury Zhrkov to the club.
