BAKU, July 9 (Itar-Tass) — Official Baku is scrutinizing proposals of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement that have been over by visiting Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov said on Saturday.
“We are thoroughly studying President Medvedev’s proposals and will respond to them as soon as we are through,” he told journalists.
On July, 8, the Russian foreign minister paid brief working visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan and hand over to leaders of the two countries Russian president’s message offering possible solutions to the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. These proposals were spelled out following a meeting of the three president in Russia’s Kazan in late June. The meeting was also attended by representatives from Russia, the United States and France, or the co-chair of the Minsk Group of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE).
