Four people were injured in a blast in the Afghan city of Kandahar on Wednesday, local Police Chief Abdul Razak said.
The blast occurred at the busy Aina-Mina Square. Police have so far not identified what the terrorist act was aimed against.
Earlier in the day, six people died and at least another 10 were injured in the eastern Afghan city of Mahmoud-Raki when a suicide car bomber blew himself up.
An Afghan police source told RIA Novosti that the French ambassador to Afghanistan was due to arrive in Mahmoud-Raki on Wednesday.
