ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow region, August 16 (Itar-Tass) —— Boeing Corporation will help Russian airports, primarily in the south, in the enlargement of their traffic capacity. A memorandum to the effect was signed between Boeing, Basel Aero (the airport operator in Sochi, Krasnodar, Anapa, Gelendzhik and Yeisk) and the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography at the MAKS 2011 international aerospace show on Tuesday.
Representatives of a Boeing subsidiary will assist the analysis and optimization of air traffic control plans of Russian airports. “Modern technologies considerably reduce the probability of closing airports under unfavorable weather conditions and help modernize air traffic control and optimize the use of airspace,” Basel Aero General Director Sergei Likharyov said.
