James Bond will soon have to prove he can be just as suave without his trademark shaken, not stirred Martini. The new Bond adventure Skyfall will feature an 007 who is less fussy about his drinks, going for plain beer.
The culprit is Heineken, which has struck a deal to supply the world’s favorite spy with booze. In Skyfall, 44-year-old British actor Daniel Craig is set to drink the green-bottled Dutch beer, appear in an ad for it, and even feature on the packaging.
“[Bond] is a perfect fit for us,” Chief marketing officer of US importer Heineken USA, Lesya Lysyj, told Ad Age.
The $150-million production directed by Sam Mendes is due to hit the screen in November.
