MOSCOW, August 26 (Itar-Tass) — The 9-year-old boy from Moscow found by rescuers in the Black Sea near Anapa died in transportation to the shore, the Russian Investigation Committee said.
“Details of the accident and circumstances of the boy’s death are being studied. A legal evaluation of the actions of officials, who permitted a boat with small children to go on the voyage will be given and will have legal consequences,” the committee said.
An adult and five children from a summer camp took a ride in a rubber boat. The sea was rough, and the boat capsized. The Gorgipia tourist boat picked up the adult and four children from the water. The nine-year-old boy stayed in the boat alone.
The Leopard towboat crew found him at 7:00 p.m. Moscow time. The boy was wearing a life jacket.
“The boy died while being transported to the shore,” the committee said.
