The 18th National Science and Engineering Week kicked off in Britain on Friday in an event that comes ahead of the 50th anniversary of Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin’s first-ever space flight. The 10-day event was initiated by the British government’s Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, the British Scientific Association and the Engineering UK non-governmental organization.
