It would seem that Russian celebrities are not keen to join the recently created Pravoye Delo party and refusals keep on coming just one week before the party’s congress, Vedomosti reports.
Film director Pavel Lungin was the only celebrity to attend the previous congress and join Russia’s youngest party.
The goal has been to get members of “the intellectual elite” involved, sources close to party’s leadership told Vedomosti.
Godmother of the Russian Pop Alla Pugachyova’s offer to join the party has left party bosses unimpressed, however, as the mass-culture icon is more likely to annoy its target markets of young people and the intelligentsia.
