Coca Cola Enters Tajik Market

DUSHANBE, December 17 (RIA Novosti) – Tajikistan’s State Investment Committee and Coca-Cola, a global beverage industry leader, on Monday signed a memorandum of cooperation, the presidential press service said.

Coca-Cola will enter the republic’s market with a $30 million investment that should double in the next 10 years.

The company is planning to bottle carbonated soft drinks in the Central Asian country next year.

A top-level delegation from Coca-Cola’s Turkish subsidiary Icecek visited Dushanbe in November. The company has subsidiaries in several Central Asian countries but exports its drinks to Tajikistan.

It serves consumers in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan, as well as in Azerbaijan, Iraq, Pakistan, Syria, Jordan, and Turkey
