Djoker to star in The Expendables sequel

World No.1 Novak Djokovic will appear as a villain in Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables 2 blockbuster.

The tennis star has recently visited Bulgaria to take part in the shooting.

“I was also in Bulgaria, as many of you have heard,”
Djokovic wrote in his blog. “I was having a short shoot for the movie Expendables 2. It was great! I enjoyed it very much and I am looking forward to see it on the big screen next summer.”

Such action heroes as Jason Statham and Dolph Lundgren worked on the set together with the Serbian sportsman.

Djokovic is well-known for his artistic abilities as his imitations of tennis colleagues like Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and even Maria Sharapova get numerous clicks on the web.

But the villain’s cameo in the The Expendables 2 will be the 24-year-old’s movie debut.

It’s reported that the initiative to invite Djokovic didn’t come from Stallone, but from producer Avi Lerner, who has been a long-time fan of the Djoker’s game.

The original Expendables movie, which gathered together action heroes from the 80s like Sylvester Stallone, Jet Li, Randy Couture, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis and others, was released in 2010 and grossed nearly $400 million.
