Drought Lowers Russian Grain Forecast to 75 Mln Tons

Russia will harvest no more than 75 million tons of grain in the current agricultural year, Economic Development Minister Andrei Belousov said in the State Duma on Wednesday.

“We anticipate that at best the grain harvest will total 73 million-75 million tons,” Belousov said, adding that drought conditions in a number of regions are weighing on the current crop.
