Moscow is re-thinking its environmental policy after it was slammed by ecologists.
The city Duma says the criticisms were valid, and the document will now be revised.
Earlier this month, ecologists petitioned the mayor to take a second look at his administration’s environmental policy.
They argued it would lead to the construction of more waste-incineration plants within the capital.
They also said the policy failed to address a number of important issues, such as the disposal of radioactive waste.
