EU urges Azerbaijan to deal with election ‘shortcomings’

The European Union’s top diplomat said parliamentary elections in Azerbaijan did not constitute “meaningful progress” in the country’s democratic development, and urged the authorities to deal with “shortcomings” reported by international observers.
