Exiled Russian billionaire Boris Berezovsky has died in Britain at the age of 67.
Relatives and a spokesman confirmed Berezovsky died, but the circumstances of his death remain unknown.
Police would not immediately comment.
British media reported that he had been found dead at his home near London.
Berezovsky was the most prominent of the so-called Russian oligarchs, the group of powerful businessmen who grew rich from the privatization of state assets following the collapse of Soviet communism.
A former Kremlin insider, he later turned into an outspoken critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Berezovsky is wanted in Russia where he has been convicted and jailed in absentia on embezzlement charges.
He settled in Britain more than a decade ago where he was granted political asylum.
